How to make mosaru kodubale

Ingredients for mosaru kodubale

Rice flour : 1 cup
Curd (plain yogurt): 1 Cup
Salt - 1 tsp or according to taste
Finely chopped onions : 1 cup
Oil for deep frying

Making mosaru kodubale method

Add one and a half cup water to the curd(yogurt)
and beat it nicely to make it evenly thin.

Add the beaten curd to a pan and keep it on the stove and bring it to a boil. Add salt according to taste.

When it starts to boil, add the rice flour in the center and cook for 10 minutes on a low flame.

Mix it well and take off the fire. Keep it aside for a few minutes till it cools down a little to handle.

Knead it well to make a soft but firm dough as you do for akki rotti.

Add finely chopped onions and mix well.

Make into lime sized balls and shape each ball in to a kodubale.

Heat oil in a wide pan. Add a few kodubale at a time.

Deep fry the kodubale in hot oil until golden brown.

Serve the kodubale by itself or with coconut chutney.

Enjoy!
