This vegetable spring roll recipe is easy to make and a healthy dish. Kids as well as grownups love it.
You can make spring rolls for breakfast, lunch or dinner or as a filling snack. It is a complete meal by itself.
you can use the vegetables that you and your family likes.
You may use the vegetables that are available and are seasonal.
You can make this as spicy or as mild as you like.
How to make vegetable spring rolls?
Ingredients for spring rollsMaida(plain white flour): For Each Roll you need 1/2 cup maida. Take according to the number of rolls you want to make.Mixture of Vegetables – take according to your liking and availability: Carrots, Capsicums, Cabbage, Onions, Green chilies, French beans Ginger, Garlic – 1/2 tsp for each cup of chopped vegetable or according to taste.Butter : 2 1/2 table spoons. Salt, maggi masala, garam masala,dhaniya powder(coriander powder) - according to taste.
Preparation to do before cookingMix the dry maida atta with some salt. Add water and form dough.Chop all the vegetables finely.
Step by step cooking instructionsMelt butter in pan. Add chopped garlic and ginger. Fry a little. Then add all the chopped vegetables in the pan.Then put salt, maggi masala, garam masala and dhaniya powder and stir fry till it is cooked. Take off fire and keep aside to cool.Roll stuffed maida in thin round shape like chapati - roti, then place the cooked vegetable mix on the chapati and roll it. After filling with vegetables close the roll from both sides by pressing with fingers.Boil the rolls in water or steam cook them for 5 minutes. Then take them out. Heat some refined oil in pan for deep frying. Every Roll should be deeply fried and that’s how it comes out to be a SPRING ROLL. You may cut the roll into small pieces (each roll in 3-4 pieces).
Serve the spring rolls with tomato sauce or green chutney.
