Chickpea Kidney Bean Salad Recipe

This healthy beans salad recipe uses kabuli chana (chickpeas / garbanzo beans) and rajma ( red kidney beans).
This chana rajma salad can be made in advance.
It is useful to serve at parties as well as at other times.
You may serve it as a filling snack.
It is a good summer side dish to serve at any meal as it contains the cool curd(plain yogurt)
You may use canned kidney beans and chickpeas. Drain the liquid before using.
You may also use dry kidney beans and chickpeas. Soak them overnight and cook them till they are soft. you may pressure cook them too.
How to make chickpea kidney bean salad
List of ingredients and the quantity
1/2 cup boiled chick pea(chana)
1/2 cup boiled kidney beans (rajma)
1 chopped onion,
1/2 chopped capcicum,
2 boiled chopped potatoes,
1/2 cup boiled sweetcorn,
3-4 florets blanched brocolli,
1 par boiled carrot cut into thick pieces
9-10pcs papdis( sev puri papdis)
1/2 cup bread croutons.
Preparation to do before cooking
Make the curd dressing:-
1 cup curd(plain yogurt)- should not be sour.
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp kasundi
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
salt to taste
Mix everything together, Beat it and refrigerate.
Step by step cooking instructions
In a big serving bowl mix all the above ingredients leaving aside papdis and croutons.
Now add the dressing and mix it well and keep it in refrigerator.
Before serving add crushed papdis and croutons.
Variations can you make with this recipe
Instead of papdis you can add nachos.
