Baked Beans on Toast Recipe

This baked beans on toast recipe is easy and quick.


You can serve it for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a filling snack.

It is to be served hot but tastes good when at room temperature too.

So you can send it with your child for lunch to school or take it to office.

You may take it as a part of picnic food too. It is a very simple and tasty food. Kids and grown ups love it.

How to make baked beans on toast


List of ingredients for baked beans on toast and the quantity


1 cup of tinned baked beans in tomato sauce,
2 small onions cut into small pieces,
1 carrot cut into small cubes,
1 capsicum cut into small cubes,
2 bread slices,
butter(optional)
salt to taste n
seasonings such as white pepper oregano etc for taste,
cheese for garnish.

Preparation to do before cooking


Cut the vegetables in small cubes,
Cut the onions in small pieces,
Empty the baked beans tin in a bowl n keep aside.
Grate the cheese also.

Step by step cooking instructions


Take a non stick frying pan
Put oil in it and saute the onions
Then add the carrots saute for some time
Add capsicum,then add the baked beans.
Saute or some time on low flame. don't let it burn
Add salt n seasoning mix well n take off the flame.
Apply butter on the bread slices n toast them on the tava(girdle).
Now take a bread slice.
Spread the baked bean mixture on 1 slice then put the grated cheese on the mixture.

Serving suggestions


Take a plate, place both the toast on the plate,garnish with cheese,serve with tarter dip or tomato sauce.

What variations can you make with this recipe?
You can cover the bread slice with beans with another slice n make a sandwich also for kids to be given in school.

Hi Molan,

I wouldn't make this recipe if I don't like baked beans. Baked beans is the main ingredient in this recipe.

Anyways, did you try it? Have fun!

I’d be generous with the butter, especially if you don’t like the taste of beans, or very many greens for that matter.

The toast and butter would take away much of that unpleasantness, I’m thinking. Obviously I’ve never had baked beans on toast before, but I’m gonna try it one of these afternoons.
