Masala chai tea that I missed

Hi, you have asked about an experience related to food and drink at a restaurant. I want to tell you about a second cup of Masala tea which I didn’t have. I regret that even now after almost 30 years.

About 30 years back, we used to stay in Bombay-Mumbai. I was newly married. I visited Nasik in the state of Maharashtra along with my husband and elderly in-laws.

Early morning, we got ready to visit the temple. Before going to temple, we decided to have tea/coffee at a nearby place. We had planned to have a good breakfast only after visiting the temple.

I remember the place was called ‘muktidham’. We came across a gujarati establishment. He said only tea and coffee were available at that time.

I asked for a ‘masala chai’ while others opted for coffee. The ‘Masala chai’ came steaming hot.

I have never forgotten the aroma and the taste of that wonderful tea. I have drunk many time a masala chai tea’ at home as well as at other places.

I wanted a second cup of that wonderful tea but we were already running late so did not order again. I thought we would come back later in the day for a meal. I wanted to ask if they would tell me the recipe for that masala chai mix. I wonder if they would have given me that.

But that did not happen. We just did not visit that place again and never got that second cup of masala tea. I do not know if that place is still around after these 30 years.

Delicious, high end, affordable vegan cusine.
The food was good as well as the mixed drinks. Best mojito I've ever had.
