Eggless Chocolate Pudding Recipe

This egg less chocolate pudding is easy to make and needs only a few ingredients.

Cold chocolate pudding is a welcome snack or a dessert in the hot summer months or at any other time.

Chocolate pudding is irresistible. Make it once and the family will ask for it again and again.

How to make egg-less chocolate pudding

List of ingredients and the quantity

custard powder - 2 tbsp
Coco powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
milk - 500 ml
vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
sugar - 4 tbsp or more or less according to taste

For garnishing

Fresh cream or vanilla ice cream
Chocolate chips or grated chocolate

Preparation to do before cooking

Mix custard powder and coco powder with 1 cup milk.
Make sure that no lumps are formed.

Step by step cooking instructions

Heat remaining milk in a deep thick bottom pan.
When the milk starts boiling, add the custard powder mixture. Keep stirring continuously till the mixture thickens.
Boil for a minute while stirring.
Switch off the flame. Add sugar and keep stirring once in a while till mixture cools a little.
Pour into a big serving bowl or in individual cups in which you are planning to chill the pudding.
When the mixture is at room temperature, keep the bowl in the fridge to cool.
You will need minimum one hour for the chocolate pudding to chill and set. Two to three hours is better.

Serving suggestions

You may serve in one bowl or divide the mixture in individual bowls.
Add the chilled pudding to individual serving cups. Add fresh cream or vanilla ice cream, sprinkle grated chocolate or choco chips and serve immediately.

What variations can you make with this recipe?

You may serve the chocolate pudding by itself, without any garnishing. It is still yummy.
